From 20th to 22nd September 2022, Mr Alexis Kamuhire, The Auditor General of Rwanda and Auditors General and delegates from Kenya, Sweden, Tanzania and Uganda attended the first steering Committee meeting. The meeting was held in Stockholm, Sweden, hosted by Auditor General of SNAO, Ms. Helena Lindberg.
This first first steering Committee meeting aimed at discussing the progress of this cooperation.
Regional East-African Cooperation (2021-2024) was initiated in partnership with The Swedish National Audit Office (Swedish NAO) and the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of Kenya (OAG Kenya), Rwanda (OAG Rwanda), Tanzania (NAO Tanzania), and Uganda (OAG Uganda).
Since its beginning, the cooperation had been providing a forum for sharing knowledge and experience in areas of cooperation proposed by concerned Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs).
This cooperation aims to strengthen capacity building in communication, Financial and compliance audit, Human resources management, IT audit, Management and leadership, performance audit, Quality control and quality assurance.
