Our Organization

The Office of the Auditor General of State Finances (OAG) is headed by the Auditor General seconded by the Deputy Auditor General). It comprises of audit, administrative and support staff. The current OAG organizational structure and schedule of staff positions are in the Organizational structure.

To enable the Office to meet its statutory obligations to Parliament, the OAG is currently organized into the following directorates and the IT Unit:

Directorate of Central Administration

This directorate is responsible for auditing Government ministries, departments and affiliated institutions

Directorate of Autonomous Public Enterprises

This Directorate is responsible for the audit of Public Enterprises

Directorate of Local Administration

This directorate undertakes the audits of Local Governments (Districts, and Kigali City).

Directorate of Projects and programmes

This directorate is responsible for the audit of government and donor funded projects and programmes;

Directorate of Quality Assurance

This directorate is responsible for preparing the annual report, quality control, legal affairs, communications, research, planning, OAG Projects, and training;

Directorate of Administration and Finance

This directorate is responsible for the budget, accounts, administration, and personnel matters.
